ALSA cont’d

ALS Association of Greater New York, October 2008
Every year the ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease foundation holds a benefit dinner in NYC. To encourage guests to donate for a cure, we disguised a 2.7 lb weight within what looked like a normal print ad. When people unexpectedly struggled to turn the page they read the line which said, “When you have ALS, even the simplest task can be a burden.”

This year to encourage guests to donate for a cure, we used the stripes of Lou Gehrig’s Yankee jersey to represent the disease (ALS) as jail bars. This impactful ad was placed on the back of each program.
